As part of their growth trajectory, they are currently seeking to enhance their team with the addition of a Wet Process Lab Technician who will play a crucial role in both laboratory-scale and pilot-scale wet processing operations.

The Wet Process Lab Technician position is an exciting opportunity that offers hands-on involvement in the treatment and development of advanced material samples using various wet-processing techniques. This role predominantly revolves around the preparation, processing, and testing of materials in a laboratory setting, working closely with tanning drums and other pilot-scale equipment to ensure the achievement of targeted material characteristics such as color, softness, texture, flexibility, and uniformity. Working collaboratively across cross-functional teams including product development, quality assurance, operations, and commercialization, this role supports both the innovation pipeline and the scale-up process toward commercial production.

In addition to on-site laboratory work, this role includes approximately one reimbursed business trip per month to a partner tannery facility to support onsite production trials and development activities. This aspect offers valuable exposure to real-world manufacturing environments, providing a deeper understanding of process scale-up and practical application of wet-processing technologies.

With a salary range of $25 to $28 per hour, this position is ideal for individuals with a foundational educational background in chemistry, polymer science, textile science, or chemical engineering, who have gained academic, internship, or early professional experience with wet chemistry, chemical preparation, and material processing.
