Job Description
Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for delivering exceptional service and luxurious experiences through its diverse portfolio of brands. One of its distinguished properties, W Hotels, embodies a vibrant and innovative spirit that redefines luxury hospitality by igniting curiosity and expanding worlds for its guests. Located in Hollywood, California, at 6250 Hollywood Blvd, W Hotels offers a dynamic work environment that values originality, inclusivity, and the continuous pursuit of excellence. Our commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and employees is reflected in our dedication to equal opportunity employment, fostering a culture that celebrates diverse backgrounds, talents, and experiences.
We are currently seeking a Part Time Host to join our Food and Beverage team at W Hotels in Hollywood. This non-management position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy engaging with guests and contributing to a seamless dining experience. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $32.20, and is tip eligible, enhancing earning potential.
As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a memorable first impression by greeting and seating them with professionalism and warmth. Your role is crucial in managing the flow of the dining room by arranging seating efficiently, ensuring that each guest is comfortably accommodated. You will perform a variety of tasks including pulling out chairs, placing menus, and maintaining clean and organized work areas. Monitoring the dining room for availability, guest needs, and overall safety is an essential part of your responsibilities.
The position requires interaction not only with guests but also with team members, supporting a cooperative work environment aimed at delivering outstanding service. Hosts must uphold company policies and safety standards, report incidents promptly, and maintain a polished personal appearance. Communication skills are important as you will be answering phones and addressing guest inquiries in a clear, professional manner.
In addition to providing excellent guest service, the Host contributes to the overall operational success by adhering to quality standards and assisting with other duties as required by supervisors. Physical demands include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and the ability to move objects weighing up to 10 pounds. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic, customer-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced hospitality environment where no two days are the same.
Joining W Hotels means becoming part of a team dedicated to innovation, high energy, and forward thinking. Whether you are starting your career or looking to build upon your hospitality experience, this role offers the chance to be part of a globally respected brand that truly values and nurtures its employees. Be where you can do your best work, begin your purpose, belong to an amazing global team, and become the best version of yourself with Marriott International and W Hotels.
