The Dishroom Attendant position at Flanigan's is crucial in ensuring that the restaurant continues to present the highest standards of cleanliness throughout each shift. This role is responsible for washing and sanitizing a wide range of dishware and kitchen equipment using company-specific sanitation policies. The position requires vigilance and dedication to maintaining kitchen cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris, essential to the smooth operation and safety of the kitchen workspace. Moreover, the attendee will engage in prep work, opening and closing duties, and the maintenance of dish machines to support the kitchen operations efficiently.

English communication skills are necessary to understand procedures, complete certifications, and collaborate effectively with the team.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- physically able to perform duties including standing and walking for entire shifts
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds several times per shift
- willingness to work in high temperature and damp environments
- must be able to follow company safety and sanitation procedures strictly
- basic English reading, writing and speaking skills
- ability to complete food safety certification program
- reliability and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- Can physically stand/walk 100 % of shift
- can reach, bend, stoop
- can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
- ability to speak, read and write English
- able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift, lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
- work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
- work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
- work safely with sharp knives and utensils
- support fellow employees as needed
- complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan's and Florida statutes
Job Duties
- Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
- washes and provides clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan's sanitation policies
- cleans and sanitizes throughout shift
- maintain kitchen area cleanliness
- sweeps, mops, removes debris from floor, etc
- perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
- prepares and maintains dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing
