Job Description
This opportunity is with a well-established family-run restaurant located in Florida, known for its welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where people from all walks of life come together to enjoy great food, fantastic drinks, and an entertaining environment. This restaurant serves as a beloved local spot and a home away from home for many Floridians, operating continuously from open until late at night. It has gained a reputation not only for its delicious offerings but also for the vibrant, fun atmosphere that patrons look forward to visiting repeatedly.
As a bartender at this location, you will be a key part of the guest experience, often acting as the life-of-the-party and a gregarious host who knows most regular customers by name. The role goes beyond just mixing drinks - it is about creating a memorable environment where guests feel welcomed and well looked after. You will be expected to maintain a clean and well-stocked bar, prepare drinks accurately following company recipes, and serve guests cheerfully and professionally. Customer interaction is a major aspect of the position, as you will need to be knowledgeable about drink specials and promotions and be able to respond clearly and verbally to guest inquiries.
This bartending position requires adherence to all company safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests. You will play an important role in ensuring responsible alcohol service by assessing guests’ demeanor, identifying intoxicated customers, and appropriately involving managerial staff when necessary. Efficient, accurate handling of orders through the POS system is a critical part of the job as well, as is managing payments via credit cards, cash, or gift cards and providing correct change swiftly.
The role also requires physically demanding tasks such as standing and walking throughout the entire shift, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds, and frequently immersing hands in water. Passing the Florida Responsible Vendor program and a food safety certification is mandatory. This role demands someone with excellent communication skills in English, capable of reading and writing English fluently, and able to interpret handwritten notes or guest checks accurately.
This position offers a schedule structured around a five-day workweek, making it easier for staff to balance work and personal life. Employee benefits are comprehensive and include paid vacation that increases with tenure, health insurance with medical and dental options, a 401K retirement plan available immediately upon eligibility, and meals offered at half price during shifts. This is a fantastic opportunity for an outgoing, hardworking individual looking to join a friendly, family-oriented team and grow their hospitality career in a lively and supportive environment.
