Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age and/or junior in high school
  • Customer service or public relations experience preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and strong organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to healthy living
  • Completion of CPR/First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogen and Child Abuse Prevention training within first 30 days of employment

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age and/or junior in high school
  • At least one year or more customer service/public relations experience preferred
  • A passion and basic understanding of healthy living and helping others reach goals
  • Actively participating in a healthy lifestyle
  • Must be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills and have ability to multi-task
  • Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills
  • Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Excellent communication, listening and computer skills
  • CPR/First Aid, Blood Bourne Pathogen and Child Abuse Prevention training within first 30-days of employment

Job Duties

  • Enforcing YMCA and Wellness Department rules and policies
  • Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked and well organized work area
  • Give facility tours and orientations to new or prospective members as needed
  • Actively promote the Y, memberships, programs, services, and lessons, as well as promotions and/or discounts available
  • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by members/guests
  • Provide detailed descriptions of Y memberships, programs, services, facility features and hours of operation
  • Properly open, perform daily tasks and close wellness area each day according to Standard Operating Procedures
