Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years experience as concierge or greeter in a large public or hospital setting
  • proven leadership abilities
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently
  • capability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand and walk up to 95 percent of the workday
  • ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • ability to tolerate weather exposure
  • capability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer population

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate
  • minimum 2 years experience in service management or concierge role in a large public facility
  • proven leadership skills
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to problem solve independently
  • flexibility to work customer-oriented schedule
  • experience using Epic preferred
  • face-to-face customer service experience preferred
  • ability to push patients in a wheelchair preferred

Job Duties

  • Leads day-to-day activities of concierge staff
  • orients and trains new employees
  • provides ongoing instructions and performance feedback
  • keeps management informed of employee performance
  • develops and maintains departmental policies
  • assigns tasks and maintains workflow
  • manages department keys and access controls
  • greets customers and assesses their needs
  • manages first impressions for medical center visitors
  • reports security and safety issues promptly
  • ensures work area cleanliness and safety
  • assists in maintaining traffic flow at facility entrances
  • coordinates transportation and parking arrangements
  • offers physical assistance to customers including wheelchair support
  • verifies destinations and accompanies customers as needed
