Renowned for its commitment to quality and patient-centered care, Aurora operates a network of hospitals, clinics, and specialty care centers that prioritize patient well-being and safety. The organization fosters an environment where compassionate care and personalized service are at the forefront of every interaction. With a wide range of health services and innovative care approaches, Aurora Health Care aims to improve health outcomes through dedicated staff and a culture of continuous improvement and community engagement.

The Concierge role at Aurora Health Care is essential in maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment at the facility's points of entry. This position is pivotal in managing the first impression patients and visitors receive, ensuring that each individual feels valued and supported from the moment they arrive. The concierge will provide personalized care by assisting customers with various needs, including helping them out of vehicles, locating wheelchairs, providing directions, and escorting them to their destinations. This role extends beyond traditional greeting duties by encompassing responsibilities related to facility traffic management and coordination with multiple hospital departments such as Public Safety, Environmental Services, and Patient Transport to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all visitors.

This full-time role requires a high degree of empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Candidates should be prepared to work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of Aurora’s diverse guest population. Physical stamina is also a requirement, as the job involves standing, walking, and running for most of the workday, often outside and exposed to weather conditions. Special emphasis is placed on the individual's ability to manage both the physical demands and the interpersonal aspects of the role, ensuring that every guest’s experience is positive and aligned with the facility’s commitment to care and safety.

Additionally, the Concierge will be tasked with assisting customers with transportation needs, including arrangements for valet service, taxi vouchers, and accommodating special transportation requirements. The incumbent must maintain a safe, obstacle-free working area and promptly report any security or safety concerns to the Public Safety Services Department. Knowledge of age-specific care principles is required to appropriately address the needs of patients across the lifespan, demonstrating sensitivity to the unique requirements of different age groups.

Working collaboratively with support staff across the hospital and adhering to departmental policies and procedures are vital to this role. Overall, the Concierge is a frontline ambassador who not only meets but exceeds customer expectations by personalizing interactions and ensuring a seamless, supportive experience for everyone entering or leaving the facility.
