The position of Customer Service Representative (CSR) is crucial within this retail environment. Reporting directly to the Store Manager and working closely with the Operations Supervisor or Manager, the CSR plays a pivotal role in the customer experience by serving as the primary point of contact for all customers. This role demands a friendly, positive, authentic, empathetic, and professional demeanor to consistently deliver a Five-Star Customer Service Experience. The CSR is responsible for managing customer interactions across multiple communication channels, including in-person, phone, and virtual chats.

Beyond direct customer service, the CSR supports key operational areas within the store such as the welcome desk, cash wrap, systems and processes, inventory management, and daily routines. The role requires a dependable administrative skill set along with excellent interpersonal abilities to maintain the store's foundational excellence, which in turn supports an exceptional shopping experience for every customer. The CSR contributes significantly toward achieving the store's customer service goals, resolving conflicts thoughtfully and proactively, and partnering with leadership to address escalated issues when necessary.

Enhancing product personalization and alterations is also a key part of the role, as the CSR helps communicate the importance of tailoring apparel to meet customers’ specific needs for special events. Furthermore, the CSR assists in promoting alteration services and personalization options to increase customer satisfaction and drive additional store revenue.

The job is dynamic and multifaceted, requiring efficiency in handling multiple customers simultaneously while maintaining a calm and customer-focused attitude. Responsibilities include maintaining store standards, adhering to dress code policies, promptly responding to customer inquiries with clear and concise information, and fostering long-term customer relationships to support loyalty. Inventory management duties encompass processing orders, receiving merchandise, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Accuracy in transaction processing at the cash wrap area is essential, as is contributing to sales promotions and visual merchandising updates. Additional duties as assigned contribute to the dynamic nature of this role. The position demands good physical health, including the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, occasionally lift weights up to 25 pounds, and perform other activities such as climbing stairs and using peripheral vision.

Candidates ideally possess a high school diploma or equivalent, coupled with 1-2 years of retail experience within an apparel, service, or specialty store environment. Job Duties

  • Welcome all customers with genuine, and friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person, communicate clearly and concisely by adapting your style to suit the customers by problem solving, excellent phone skills and resolving conflict
  • Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver Five-Star Customer Service experience
  • Maintain all service vows which include Being Prepared, Welcoming, ability to Meet the Needs & Be There for all customers, including all operational checklist task and meeting customers emotional and practical needs
  • Responsible for providing an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at one time and contribute to the store achievement of Five-Star Customer Service
  • Proactively address customer concerns with confidence
  • Know when to escalate and partner with leadership team
  • Communicate how alterations can play an important role in perfecting the dress for her event in partnership with Alterations
  • Promote all alteration services and personalization options
  • Maintain store-standards to support a flawless shopping experience
  • Maintain a high standard of dress to meet the Dress Code policy
  • Respond promptly to all customer questions providing product and service information
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships to meet and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Engage in the inventory management procedures by processing orders, receiving, and ensuring first quality standards for all merchandise
  • Support all cash wrap behaviors and processes transactions with accuracy to make every customer feels celebrated
  • Assist with all sales promotions and visual updates
  • Other duties as assigned
