The role of Welcome Center Receptionist and Admissions Administrative Assistant at Cape Fear Academy is a full-time, twelve-month position reporting to the Director of Enrollment. This role is pivotal as the primary point of contact for prospective families and visitors, embodying the academy's welcoming spirit and commitment to exceptional service. The position requires excellent interpersonal skills combined with strong organizational capabilities to support the admissions office in its daily operations. Responsibilities include managing the central phone line, greeting and assisting visitors, maintaining extensive awareness of campus events, and ensuring the welcome center is a professional and informative environment. Additionally, the role supports admissions functions including preparing admissions packets, corresponding with inquiries, scheduling tours, and maintaining digital admissions records through the Veracross system. The position also involves collaborating on admission-related special events and projects, inventory management, and promoting smooth communication between feeder schools and the academy. - Bachelor's degree highly preferred
- prior office administration and database management experience required
- three or more years of communications or admissions-related experience

Job Duties
- Answer central phone line and direct calls to various departments
- serve as a welcoming and responsive first point of contact for visitors to campus
- have extensive awareness of all campus and classroom events
- be able to direct guests to campus sites, events and amenities
- maintain welcome center area and supplies
- assist with security of welcome center
- prepare admissions packets
- correspond with online admission inquiries and follow up as needed
- assist with scheduling tours/interviews/shadow days and sending reminders
- follow up with feeder schools and programs about applicant checklist items
- update Veracross admission portal as needed
- assist with admission events as directed
- assist with general admissions department or school-wide projects as needed
- take inventory and order office supplies and admission-related items as directed
