Job Description

Animal Emergency Center of Sandy Springs (AEC Sandy Springs) is a leading emergency and critical care veterinary hospital located in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Serving the greater Atlanta area, AEC Sandy Springs specializes in providing urgent, compassionate after-hours veterinary care when pets and their families need it most. As a 24/7 emergency operation, the hospital is designed to handle high-acuity cases with a team of dedicated veterinary professionals committed to life-saving care and veterinary excellence. This fast-paced, high-impact environment requires a staff that is not only technically skilled but also empathetic and capable of managing intense situations with calm and professionalism.

AEC Sandy Springs is currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative (CSR) to join their weekend-focused team. This position covers the critical high-volume emergency periods from Friday through Monday, making it essential to the smooth operation and patient flow of the hospital during peak demand. The role offers a unique schedule structure that provides weekday flexibility, with Tuesdays through Thursdays off, catering to professionals who prefer consistent weekend work and enjoy the dynamic nature of emergency veterinary medicine. The ideal candidate will be experienced in veterinary client service, reception, or healthcare front desk roles, especially those accustomed to working in emergency or high-acuity environments where each interaction directly impacts patient outcomes.

As a Veterinary Receptionist / CSR at AEC Sandy Springs, you are the frontline representative of the hospital during emergencies. This role is critical for maintaining client communication, establishing trust during stressful times, and facilitating efficient hospital operations. The receptionist will greet and triage incoming emergency pets, identify urgent and life-threatening cases for immediate medical attention, and guide pet owners through complex medical decisions with empathy and clarity. Additionally, the Veterinary Receptionist will handle multi-line phone systems, process payments, document detailed client and patient information, and maintain a professional and welcoming reception environment. Strong collaboration with veterinarians and veterinary technicians will be part of your daily responsibilities to ensure smooth communication and patient flow.

Working in emergency veterinary medicine is unpredictable and emotionally intense. It requires professionals with exceptional communication skills, emotional maturity, and the ability to stay calm and organized under pressure. This role also offers career advancement opportunities within the Innovetive Petcare veterinary network, along with continuous training in emergency veterinary medicine and client service excellence. Employees benefit from a supportive, team-oriented culture that values respect, accountability, and high performance, all within a mission to provide critical life-saving care to pets every day of the week. If you are passionate about high-impact clinical work, sensitive to the needs of pet families, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this Veterinary Receptionist position at AEC Sandy Springs is an excellent fit.
