  • experience in emergency veterinary medicine or human healthcare

  • professional demeanor in emotionally intense situations

Job Duties

  • Greet and triage incoming emergency patients
  • identify STAT cases and immediately alert medical staff
  • maintain calm, organized intake during high-pressure situations
  • guide pet owners through urgent medical situations
  • explain estimates, treatment plans, and hospital flow clearly
  • support families during end-of-life care and difficult decisions with empathy and professionalism
  • manage high-volume multi-line phone systems
  • accurately document client and patient information
  • process payments and maintain financial accuracy
  • maintain a clean, professional, welcoming reception area
  • partner closely with veterinarians and veterinary technicians
  • support efficient patient flow and communication
  • contribute to a respectful, accountable, high-performance team culture
