This resort provides a unique blend of relaxation and recreation, with a casual restaurant that serves a variety of delicious meals suitable for all tastes. Campland On The Bay prides itself on delivering exceptional visitor experiences through its attentive service and a commitment to quality in all aspects of its operation, particularly in dining services. As a well-established resort in the area, Campland On The Bay serves as a lively hub where guests can enjoy the beauty of San Diego alongside excellent food and hospitality.
The Line Cook position at Campland On The Bay offers an exciting opportunity to become part of a fun and dedicated kitchen team at their casual resort restaurant. This role is crucial in ensuring that all menu items, including soups, meats, and pizzas, are prepared with care, creativity, and in accordance with the restaurant's standards. The job requires working efficiently under a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of food quality and presentation. Candidates will be responsible for a range of cooking techniques such as grilling, frying, sautéing, baking, and more. Whether working the morning, afternoon, or evening shifts on weekdays, weekends, or holidays, line cooks must display a strong sense of urgency and teamwork.
While prior experience as a line or prep cook can be beneficial, Campland On The Bay is open to training individuals who show passion and commitment to cooking and team collaboration. Strong communication skills are essential, as the line cook will engage professionally with bartenders, barbacks, cashiers, runners, and colleagues from other departments. The role also emphasizes safe and sanitary food handling practices, with an expectation that the cook will hold a current San Diego County Food Handler's card. Additional duties include managing kitchen cleanliness, receiving deliveries, stocking supplies, and assisting in opening or closing the kitchen. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $21.50 and includes paid sick time, making it an attractive opportunity for culinary professionals looking to work in a dynamic and supportive environment at a resort that operates year-round.
