The hiring establishment is a welcoming community facility that strives to provide exceptional living experiences for its residents, fostering a supportive and warm environment. This establishment is committed to delivering high-quality services that enhance the lives of residents while maintaining strong relationships with their families, vendors, and staff. The community prides itself on upholding a professional yet nurturing atmosphere where respect, dignity, and quality customer service are paramount. This role is particularly vital as it shapes the first impression of the community for all visitors and stakeholders.
We are currently seeking a Weekend Receptionist who will work exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays to support the community’s front desk operations. The Weekend Receptionist plays a critical role in managing communications and providing excellent customer service as the first point of contact for residents, families, applicants, visitors, vendors, and team members. This position entails managing a multi-line telephone system, ensuring timely and courteous call handling, and facilitating communication within the community. Additionally, the Weekend Receptionist is responsible for mail distribution, maintaining office supply inventory, assisting with various administrative projects, and supporting the Executive Director and Business Office Manager.
This role requires someone who is compassionate, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining a positive and pleasant demeanor in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment. The successful candidate will have a Servant’s heart and attitude aligned with our Mission Statement, demonstrating honesty, integrity, and a genuine desire to contribute to a positive community culture. Maintaining resident confidentiality is of utmost importance, and the Weekend Receptionist will ensure that all personal information is protected in accordance with community guidelines.
In addition to administrative duties, the Weekend Receptionist assists in ensuring meal service coverage by coordinating with Culinary Services staff, taking resident orders, and helping prepare the dining room between meal times. This position does not include managerial responsibilities but requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The working environment is indoors, within an open office space, and requires the ability to adapt to interruptions and handle multiple tasks efficiently. The role also demands the ability to lift up to 20 pounds when managing office supply deliveries.
Successful applicants will have a high school diploma or equivalent and possess the ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and apply good judgment in accordance with established procedures. This role is ideal for a candidate who values teamwork, customer service excellence, and embraces a mission-driven approach to their work. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled, underscoring the need for a committed, reliable, and personable individual to join the team and positively impact the community’s daily operations.
