We are currently seeking a Lounge Bartender to join our professional and dynamic team. This newly created role combines beverage service with light food preparation, making it a unique opportunity for individuals who enjoy engaging with guests and providing an exceptional hospitality experience. As a Lounge Bartender, you will be responsible for serving beverages and menu items promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times. Additionally, you will prepare small plates and appetizers, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and restaurant areas, manage bar setup and breakdown, and follow strict procedures for credit card handling and drink standards. This role demands attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work well with colleagues and guests alike.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in bartending or food service preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly
  • must be able to adhere to all safety and hygiene standards
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • must comply with all legal regulations regarding alcohol service
  • ability to follow detailed procedures and work independently
  • must be able to lift moderate weights and perform physical cleaning tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Previous bartending or serving experience preferred
  • knowledge of beverage preparation and serving standards
  • ability to prepare small plates and appetizers
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to follow safety and cleanliness standards
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • basic understanding of inventory management
  • high school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Pick up bank and guest checks from prescribed area
  • cook small plates and appetizers
  • clean up the kitchen and restaurant area
  • take out the trash at the end of the night
  • set up bar
  • break down bar, lock up liquor, and store fruit and juices properly
  • accept drink orders from guests/servers in proper calling order
  • make cocktails in accordance beverage standards using standard jigger
  • work professionally with all guests and fellow associates
  • follow all check handling procedures, including all credit card policies and procedures
  • red line all drink orders from servers, checking all tickets for items that did not ring up correctly
  • prepare beverage requisition for liquor
  • create a pleasant, friendly, hospitable, effective and professional working atmosphere at all times
  • perform duties in the prescribed safe manner using the established procedures and proper equipment
  • to follow set and established procedures regarding the use of promotional and birthday drinks
  • complete all opening and closing duties as listed on the checklist
  • comply with established procedures in the standard beverage manual regarding the serving of alcohol to and the identification of minors
  • check and replace glassware where needed
  • stock and replenish ice at all ice stations
  • clean floors in area of responsibility at the end of each shift
  • empty and steam-clean trashcans at the end of each shift or as necessary
  • be responsible for the inventory of the soda and juices and their rotation of stock
  • stock and replenish beer in bottles and kegs when necessary
