The role of a Part-Time Line Cook at Belmont Village Senior Living is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated culinary team focused on delivering high-quality meals that contribute to memorable dining experiences for the community residents. Scheduled for Friday through Sunday from 10:30 am to 7 pm, this position is designed for an adaptable, dependable individual who takes pride in their culinary craft and approach to hospitality. As a Line Cook, your responsibilities will include preparing fresh, flavorful dishes from scratch in accordance with company recipes and quality standards, while managing multiple orders efficiently and ensuring plate presentation is attractive and consistent.
Working in this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining kitchen cleanliness, adhering to health and safety regulations, and ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked and organized. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
- minimum of 6 months line cook experience in a high volume restaurant setting
- ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- consistent and reliable attendance
- all offers of employment are conditional based on the successful completion of a state and federal criminal background check, drug screen, job related physical and TB test
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- professional, pleasant and team oriented attitude
- must be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
- minimum of 6 months line cook experience in a high volume restaurant setting
- proven success with basic culinary skills such as knife handling, accurate measurements and cooking methods
- ability to work assigned shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- consistent and reliable attendance
Job Duties
- Prepare meals from scratch according to assigned recipe specifications and quality standards
- follow recipes, manage portion control and ensure attractive plate presentation
- properly manage cook times while preparing and efficiently managing several orders simultaneously
- maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and procedures
- follow checklists and company procedures to ensure kitchen is stocked and well maintained at all times
- make hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction your top priorities in every interaction
