True to its name, RLC offers a resort-style environment focused on enhancing the lives of older adults by providing a warm, welcoming, and vibrant community where seniors can enjoy an active, enriched lifestyle. The company’s commitment goes beyond just housing; it involves fostering a nurturing atmosphere driven by core values such as Respect, Honesty, Kindness & Compassion, and Service Excellence. These values shape the culture at RLC and are evident in the way the staff interacts with each other and the residents alike. Working at RLC means joining a team that values happy employees and happy residents equally, emphasizes full occupancy of their communities, and strives for operational excellence within budget.
The Relief Kitchen Helper position at RLC is a crucial role that directly impacts the dining experience of the residents. This role involves not only preparing and maintaining a fresh, appealing salad bar every day but also supporting dining room operations by providing friendly service and ensuring tables are kept clean. By efficiently washing and sanitizing dishware, cookware, and equipment, the Relief Kitchen Helper helps maintain a safe and hygienic environment that supports the health and well-being of all community members. This position requires a compassionate attitude, a readiness to support others, and an ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The Relief Kitchen Helper acts as an essential team member who contributes to the smooth running of dining services and ensures that every resident enjoys their meals in a clean, welcoming setting.
Candidates should be at least 18 years old and able to work designated shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. While no prior culinary experience is required, applicants should have the ability to read, speak, and understand basic English and must be able to obtain the necessary food handler permits within the first two weeks of employment. The role includes operating dishwashing machines, ensuring proper sanitizing, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dish room, assisting the dining room by bussing tables and preparing room-service orders, and supporting kitchen staff with food preparation tools and maintenance. RLC offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive leadership team dedicated to employee growth and satisfaction. This is a full-time role offering paid time off, access to your pay anytime, a $341 benefit stipend per pay period covering health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, and various flexible spending accounts among other benefits. Join RLC and be part of a purpose-driven, close-knit community where your work truly makes a difference.
