Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous culinary experience
  • food safety certification required or must be obtained
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and production guidelines
  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication skills
  • physical ability to work in a kitchen environment
  • commitment to maintain confidentiality and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a cook or in a related culinary position
  • deep knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking techniques
  • understanding of sanitation practices and food safety standards
  • possession of mandatory food safety certification or willingness to obtain
  • basic math and counting skills
  • effective communication abilities and teamwork skills
  • high school diploma or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory

Job Duties

  • Create meals according to standardized recipes and guidelines for production
  • equip workstations with required ingredients and tools
  • work on ingredients through chopping, trimming, measuring, mixing, and relevant methods
  • ensure safety when using kitchen utensils and equipment like knives, ovens, stoves, and mixers by following proper procedures
  • employ various cooking methods like baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming
  • prepare and distribute meals while maintaining presentation standards
  • follow food safety measures and store food correctly
  • clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
  • provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude
  • adhere to all safety and sanitation rules prescribed by Aramark
  • maintain confidentiality of organizational assets
