The Receptionist plays a vital role at National Church Residences by being the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff. This role demands not only excellent customer service but also adherence to policies that ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The receptionist’s key purpose is to provide a secure and welcoming environment while handling a variety of clerical responsibilities efficiently. Duties include answering and screening phone calls, greeting guests professionally, maintaining cleanliness in public areas, and managing logistics such as continental breakfast setup and cleanup. This position also supports internal communications by processing work orders and mail, assisting with scheduling, and tracking facility keys. The receptionist must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, be capable of multitasking, and demonstrate emotional intelligence in dealing with diverse populations.

Job Requirements
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of general office work required with a focus on customer service
- Must have good communication, comprehension, computer and interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Must have good working computer skills with basic professional computer software (Microsoft Office suite, Windows, etc.)
- Must be self-directed with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage tasks and assignments concurrently
- Must have strong motivational skills and a high emotional intelligence quotient (EQ)
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Answers phones according to facility policy, takes and relays messages for managers and staff, screens calls
- Greet residents, visitors and staff and helps with their needs in a professional and compassionate manner
- Maintains work area to ensure a welcoming environment that is clean and sanitary including all public areas
- Restock supplies, refreshments, point of sale items, collateral, etc. as applicable
- Responsible for the setup, upkeep, and breakdown of the continental breakfast service, including dishwashing, trash removal, and ensuring the area remains clean and well-stocked throughout service
- Monitors and manages weekend trash overflow appropriately to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provides directions to residents, visitors, and staff making connections with the correct responsible party as needed
- Assists with tasks as assigned such as tracking facility keys and managers' schedule
- Processes work orders/IDT's and ensure they are given to correct department
- Performs clerical functions such as computer data entry, sorting and filing
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail
- Assists with resident requests as needed
