Job Description

We are currently seeking a part-time Concierge to join the team at Aegis of Mercer Island. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy consistent work schedules, value meaningful interactions, and want to make a positive impact within a well-respected senior living community. The Concierge will serve as the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service to residents, their families, guests, and employees with professionalism and a friendly demeanor. Scheduled for weekends only, this role offers candidates the opportunity to work in a supportive environment while benefiting from Aegis Living’s comprehensive benefits package, including competitive hourly wages ranging from $20.00 to $22.00.

The Concierge plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk and supporting various administrative tasks. Responsibilities include greeting and directing visitors, answering calls professionally, coordinating medical appointments and family outings in close collaboration with care and nursing staff, and assisting the Marketing Department and Office Manager. Candidates chosen for this role should possess a compassionate and positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and an ability to remain calm and think quickly during stressful situations. Prior experience as a receptionist, concierge, or supervisory role is preferred. Sensitivity to the needs of residents and the desire to exceed expectations during every interaction are key attributes for success in this role.

Job Requirements

  • Must be willing to take 2-step TB test
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or concierge role preferred
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work weekends
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to follow company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Compassionate and positive attitude
  • Ability to remain calm and think quickly under stressful situations
  • Preferred previous experience working as a receptionist, concierge and or supervisory role
  • Sensitivity to resident needs and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Display a desire to exceed expectations with every interaction

Job Duties

  • Greet and direct visitors, families, residents, and employees to the right person or place and providing exceptional customer service
  • Answer all phone calls in a professional manner and handling the front desk and all assigned duties
  • Coordinate medical appointments and family outings with care and nursing staff
  • Support the smooth operation for the marketing department and office manager
  • Develop in-depth familiarity with the community layout and employees' responsibilities
