Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years preferred experience
- State Tested Nursing Assistant licensure
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Ability to interact professionally with senior residents
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Ability to complete required training programs
- Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting and standing
- Normal vision consistent with standard workflow
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years preferred experience in related field
- State Tested Nursing Assistant licensure required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as transportation, appointments, medication reminders, housekeeping, and addressing questions and concerns
- Engage residents to identify needs and make referrals to community agencies
- Organize and promote resident involvement in on-site and off-site programs
- Assist residents in building support networks with other residents, family, and friends
- Help residents acquire and utilize community services including meals, personal services, financial assistance, counseling, and day care
- Collect data for ongoing assessment of resident needs and document accordingly
- Attend weekly campus meetings to communicate resident concerns
- Demonstrate a positive and professional manner while managing time effectively
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, regulations, and codes of conduct
- Report complaints, allegations of abuse, and compliance issues to appropriate supervisors
- Complete all annual education requirements including compliance, privacy, security, and HIPAA training
- Perform other duties as assigned
