Job Description

National Church Residences is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable housing and supportive services for seniors and individuals with low to moderate income. Established with a mission to enhance the quality of life for its residents, National Church Residences operates senior living communities across the United States, focusing on creating comfortable, safe, and engaging environments for older adults. Their senior living division offers a comprehensive range of services designed to foster independence, well-being, and community involvement for seniors.\n\nThe Concierge position at National Church Residences is a key role within their senior living communities, designed to support residents by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence and dignity. Reporting to the Marketing Director and classified as non-exempt, this position is vital in ensuring residents receive personalized attention and resources that address their individual needs. The Concierge acts as a liaison between residents and community resources, organizes social and recreational programs, and helps residents maintain their daily routines and social connections. This role demands a compassionate, attentive, and proactive individual capable of working collaboratively with residents, family members, and staff.\n\nIn this capacity, the Concierge assists with a variety of tasks such as transportation coordination, appointment scheduling, medication reminders, housekeeping support, and responding to residents' inquiries and concerns. The Concierge also conducts ongoing assessments of residents' needs, advocates for their well-being, and fosters a community atmosphere that encourages engagement and mutual support. Flasked by a spirit of service and professionalism, the Concierge must adhere to all organizational policies, including compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and uphold residents' rights with respect and dignity. This role embodies the core values of National Church Residences by prioritizing the physical, emotional, and social needs of the senior population it serves.\n\nCandidates for the Concierge role are expected to possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for at least two years of relevant experience. Essential skills include strong communication abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications, and the required licensure as a State Tested Nursing Assistant. The position involves working under general supervision, with the autonomy to independently manage daily tasks while consulting supervisors as needed. Due to nature of the work environment, candidates should be prepared for occasional physical activities such as lifting and stooping and should be comfortable engaging with residents who may have varying levels of physical or cognitive challenges.\n\nBy joining National Church Residences as a Concierge, professionals contribute meaningfully to a vibrant and caring community dedicated to improving seniors' lives. This role offers opportunities for growth, collaboration, and the satisfaction of making a direct impact on residents' quality of life through attentive service, advocacy, and community-building initiatives. The organization values inclusivity and equal opportunity and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals regardless of race, sex, religion, or other protected characteristics.
