Casa Serena is a specialized residential treatment center dedicated exclusively to women, focusing on substance use, mental health, trauma, and eating disorder recovery. As a compassionate environment committed to healing, Casa Serena provides personalized care and innovative treatment approaches tailored to the unique needs of women at various stages of their recovery journey. The center combines evidence-based therapies with a supportive, nurturing environment to enable clients to reclaim their lives and achieve lasting wellness. Recognized for its holistic methods and commitment to client-centered care, Casa Serena upholds the highest standards in health and safety, ensuring that every aspect of the residential experience promotes comfort, dignity, and effective healing.

The Weekend Chef role at Casa Serena is a vital position within the residential treatment facility, offering an exciting opportunity for a creative and dedicated individual to contribute to the wellbeing of clients through nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals. This part-time position requires overseeing all kitchen operations during the weekends, ensuring that all meals—breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner—align with nutritional guidelines specific to the clients' health needs. The Weekend Chef will manage food preparation, menu planning, inventory, purchasing, and strict adherence to health and safety protocols including county health codes and ServSafe standards.

Beyond meal preparation, the Weekend Chef plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment, managing food storage, and budgeting to optimize resources without compromising quality. This position requires a collaborative spirit, a professional demeanor, and the ability to communicate clearly with the rest of the treatment team. The individual will also support holiday and special event catering, enhancing the cultural and emotional environment of the center. Offering a salary range of $27 to $32 per hour depending on experience, this role is well suited for an innovative culinary professional passionate about supporting women’s health in a meaningful way.
