Job Description
TheKey is the largest provider of private pay in-home care services for aging seniors in North America. Renowned as an Employer of Choice, TheKey is committed to delivering exceptional support to both its clients and caregivers. The company prides itself on fostering a respectful, caring environment where seniors receive personalized care that enhances their quality of life. Established with the mission to transform the way society cares for its aging population, TheKey offers a unique opportunity for caregivers to build a meaningful and rewarding career within a thriving and growing industry. With a strong regional presence and dedicated local teams, TheKey ensures that caregivers receive continuous support, enabling them to perform their roles effectively while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The company provides flexible schedules, making it easier for caregivers to find shifts that accommodate their personal circumstances, whether they seek full-time or part-time employment.
As a caregiver at TheKey, you will be stepping into a role that is essential and impactful. Earning one of the top pay rates in the industry of $17.00 per hour, caregivers have the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of seniors living with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other cognitive impairments. TheKey supports its caregivers with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match. Beyond competitive compensation, caregivers benefit from paid training offered through multiple channels including virtual, online, and hands-on classes to ensure they are well-prepared for the challenges of the role. Weekly pay with optional daily pay through PayActiv is available, along with mileage reimbursement to cover transportation expenses related to client visits.
TheKey emphasizes personalized, one-on-one care within the comfort and safety of clients' homes. Caregivers are responsible for cognitive and behavioral support, offering gentle reminders and guidance to help reduce anxiety and confusion. Personal care duties include assistance with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and meal preparation, all delivered with patience and respect. Maintaining a safe and organized living environment is critical, so caregivers help with basic housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing. Transportation services are also provided as needed, including driving clients to appointments and running errands. Companionship is another vital aspect of the role, where caregivers engage clients in conversation, music, memory games, and sensory activities tailored to their cognitive abilities.
TheKey values compassion, innovation, and dedication among its caregivers. The company requires a minimum of one year of professional caregiving experience, and credential verification such as valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification. Caregivers must also have a valid driver’s license with access to an insured vehicle and meet all state background screening requirements. TheKey offers a supportive and dignified work environment, encouraging career development and advancement opportunities. By joining TheKey, caregivers become part of a mission-driven team striving to change the way the world ages, positively impacting seniors in their communities while enjoying a stable and rewarding career.
