Job Description
Home Instead is a trusted and compassionate home care company dedicated to supporting aging adults with dignity and respect. Founded on the personal experience of caring for family members with dementia, Home Instead understands the unique challenges that seniors and their families face. The company provides in-home senior care services tailored to help seniors live independently while offering peace of mind to their loved ones. Operating across the Greater Baton Rouge Area, Home Instead employs caregivers who are not only skilled but also compassionate, dependable, and committed to enriching the lives of older adults through companionship and practical assistance.
Joining Home Instead as a Care Professional means becoming part of a community that values meaningful work, supportive teamwork, and the well-being of both caregivers and clients. This role offers consistent pay ranging from $13.75 to $17.25 per hour, alongside flexible scheduling options that accommodate caregivers’ availability, particularly requiring weekend shifts. Care professionals receive 24/7 office support from real people who are always ready to assist, ensuring that caregivers are never isolated in their responsibilities. Additionally, a generous sign-on bonus totaling $500 is available, split into two payments: $250 after 30 days and $250 after 60 days of service.
The Care Professional role involves providing compassionate and personalized care to seniors in their homes. Responsibilities include offering companionship and meaningful engagement to promote emotional wellbeing, assisting with daily living activities such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, and transportation to necessary appointments. Special training is provided for Alzheimer’s and dementia care, enabling caregivers to meet the specific needs of clients experiencing memory loss and cognitive decline. This role requires reliable individuals who are dedicated to scheduled shifts and committed to building trusting relationships with clients and their families.
Working with Home Instead also means enjoying numerous benefits designed to support career growth and personal development. Caregivers benefit from paid orientation, ongoing training, and education programs alongside opportunities for advancement within the company. Referral bonuses and performance incentives encourage collaboration and excellence within the caregiving team. Mileage reimbursement helps cover travel expenses incurred while providing care in the community. Most importantly, work-life balance is emphasized through flexible scheduling, allowing caregivers to find a routine that fits their lifestyle.
Home Instead is not only a place for employment but a community where caregivers make a real difference. The mission to support aging adults with dignity inspires every role within the company. The supportive environment, combined with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, makes the Care Professional position a rewarding and fulfilling career choice for compassionate individuals seeking to contribute positively to their community.
