Job Requirements
- Ability to commute throughout Northwest Indiana
- valid driver’s license
- reliable vehicle with insurance
- ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- a compassionate heart and desire to help others
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior caregiving or healthcare experience is a plus but not required
- ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
- reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- willingness to undergo background check and drug screening
- possess CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain
- strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Provide companionship and conversation
- perform light housekeeping and meal preparation
- assist with personal care including bathing, grooming, and toileting
- provide medication reminders
- assist with mobility and transfers
- transport clients to appointments and outings
- perform other activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) based on client needs
