Roux is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled line cook specifically for weekend brunch shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. This position is critical to the success of the brunch service, focusing on the preparation and assembly of a diverse range of items that reflect the creativity and high standards of the kitchen. The role primarily involves working on the line during busy weekend brunch periods, requiring the cook to maintain consistency and excellence in dish preparation time and again.

The line cook will be responsible for setting up and organizing their workstation efficiently before and during service, ensuring that all necessary ingredients and kitchen equipment are readily available to support a smooth and effective workflow. Given that most of the prep work is completed during the weekdays, this role concentrates on the execution and assembly of dishes during the brunch hours, typically from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The successful candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess the ability to handle pressure, and exhibit a strong team player mentality with excellent communication skills.

Adherence to established recipes and presentation standards is paramount, and attention to detail is essential to meet Roux's exacting quality controls. The line cook will monitor cooking temperatures carefully, manage portion controls, and ensure every dish meets the restaurant's high standards prior to service. Cooperation with kitchen colleagues and front-of-house staff is vital to maintain a seamless flow of orders and to deliver an exceptional dining experience to guests.

Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation is an integral part of the role.
