The position of Anchor/Reporter at WJBF is a high-profile role that offers a unique opportunity to become the face of the market's top-rated morning program, "Good Morning Augusta." This role requires a dynamic individual capable of co-anchoring the show from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Friday, bringing energy, professionalism, and credibility to the broadcast. The Anchor/Reporter will serve as a leader both within the newsroom and the wider Augusta community. The role involves helping to produce newscasts and providing clear directions to team members. Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or related field or equivalent experience
- minimum two years of experience in news reporting or anchoring
- excellent communication skills, both oral and written with ability to ad lib
- excellent news judgment with expansive knowledge of current events and issues
- experience guiding, directing and motivating others
- ability to identify developmental needs and support skill improvement
- ability to meet deadlines and prioritize assignments
- ability to effectively listen and communicate with team
- valid driver's license with good driving record
- flexibility to work any shift

Job Duties
