The company operates with a strong reputation within the industry for making dream weddings come to life, ensuring every event is unique, memorable, and stress-free for the bride and groom. With offices and services available nationwide, the company is continually expanding and seeking talented individuals to join its dynamic team.
We are currently searching for Lead Wedding Coordinators based in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne to join our team for the 2026 wedding season and beyond. This is a contract position offering flexible scheduling, allowing planners the freedom to pick their own hours according to their availability. Pay is competitive and project-based, ranging from $25 to $35 per hour, making this an ideal opportunity for anyone wanting to break into or grow within the wedding industry. Comprehensive training is provided so even those with a passion for event planning but limited formal experience can gain valuable skills and insights.
The Lead Wedding Coordinator position is essential in ensuring flawless execution on a couple's wedding day. This role requires an individual who can manage all active details onsite, from set up to tear down, while providing calm, supportive advocacy for the couple throughout their special day. Coordinators will work closely with assistant coordinators, vendors, and wedding parties to orchestrate the many moving parts of an event, including timeline creation, vendor communication, and decor setup. The job demands both leadership and a hands-on approach to ensure that ceremonies and receptions proceed without a hitch.
Moreover, the ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in wedding or event planning and must possess strong organizational and communication skills. Reliability, professionalism, and the physical ability to manage logistical tasks such as lifting up to 30 pounds are essential. Since this role requires onsite presence mainly during weekends, candidates must be willing and able to work flexible weekend hours. Transportation needs to be dependable as coordinators travel between venues and vendors to guarantee smooth operations.
Joining Leigh & Co. Events as a Lead Wedding Coordinator means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to creating joyous, stress-free wedding experiences.
