Positioned in Beverly, Massachusetts, this premier venue serves as a center for world-class events, drawing clients who value elegance, scenic beauty, and exceptional service. Accessible by the Newburyport-Rockport commuter rail line and featuring free parking, the estate is an ideal location combining convenience and picturesque surroundings. The Wedding Day Coordinator role at Misselwood is a seasonal position reporting to the Director of Events Operations, designed for a competent, detail-oriented, and highly organized hospitality professional. This dynamic position involves full on-site execution of weddings, requiring strong supervisory skills and the ability to thrive in high-pressure, client-facing environments. The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of wedding day events from start to finish, including setup, ceremony execution, reception oversight, and breakdown. With an emphasis on precision and professionalism, the Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for clients, external vendors, guests, and internal staff.

This position demands excellence in communication, adaptability, and customer service, with an ability to multi-task effectively while managing event timelines, coordinating with various service providers, and addressing any challenges proactively. The ideal candidate brings prior wedding experience, strong leadership, and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, or a related field
  • Minimum one year of experience supervising staff
  • Prior wedding experience required
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays from June through August
  • ServeSafe, Crowd Manager, and AED/CPR certifications or willingness to obtain
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain on feet for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Provide unparalleled service in the implementation of weddings at the estate
  • Deliver exceptional on-site management of wedding day celebrations, including set up, ceremony management, reception management, and event breakdown
  • Execute wedding day timelines with precision and professionalism
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Misselwood property for outside vendors, guests, and staff
  • Collaborate with vendors and bar staff to flawlessly execute wedding expectations, ensuring excellent guest and customer experience
  • Oversee the management of beverage service to ensure quality, compliance, and smooth operations
  • Supervise event staff and ensure all set-up, service, and breakdown standards are met
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time to maintain event flow and client satisfaction
  • Meet with the event team prior to scheduled weddings to review timelines, logistics, staffing plans, and operational expectations
  • Participate in pre-event briefings to ensure full alignment on execution details
  • Communicate proactively regarding operational needs or concerns prior to events
