Job Description

Leigh & Co. Events is a rapidly expanding wedding planning company that operates across the entire United States, renowned for delivering comprehensive wedding design, coordination, and planning services to engaged couples. With a commitment to excellence and client satisfaction, the company has established itself as a trusted partner in helping couples bring their dream weddings to life. By emphasizing creativity, organization, and personalized support, Leigh & Co. Events continues to grow its footprint nationally while maintaining a strong reputation within the bridal community. The company values flexibility and offers opportunities for planners to work in various regions, including Georgia, where they are currently seeking to expand their team.

The Lead Wedding Coordinator position at Leigh & Co. Events represents an exciting contract role ideal for individuals passionate about wedding planning and seeking to develop their careers in this dynamic field. This role offers the unique benefit of choosing your own schedule, providing flexibility that fits within your personal and professional life. The pay structure is project-based, offering between $300 and $350 for a commitment of 10 to 12 hours per wedding project. These projects generally extend through the 2026 season and beyond, making it a sustainable and rewarding opportunity for ambitious planners.

As a Lead Wedding Coordinator, you will primarily operate onsite, taking charge of critical aspects of the wedding day. Your responsibilities will include attending final details meetings with clients approximately six weeks before the wedding date to confirm logistics, timelines, and expectations. On the day before the wedding, you will lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal, ensuring all participants understand the processional flow, timing, and key cues essential for a smooth event.

This role requires you to act as the couple’s primary advocate during the event, maintaining a calm and solutions-focused presence to support them through any challenges. You will oversee ceremony and reception setup to align with the event design and the company’s day-of execution playbook. Full management of the wedding day—from the arrival of vendors through the final evening breakdown—will be under your supervision. Effective communication and leadership are critical as you will greet, direct, and act as the main point of contact for all vendors, and coordinate the placement of personal and event details including escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest books, and decor elements.

Further responsibilities include supporting the wedding party and family members with guidance and timing cues, ensuring that all end-of-event items such as gifts and personal decor are properly packed and accounted for, and proactively managing any issues or last-minute changes to maintain a flawless guest experience. Leigh & Co. Events provides training for this role to ensure you have the support needed to succeed. The company seeks talented and driven individuals dedicated to creating memorable wedding experiences that reflect the couples’ unique love stories, all while fostering a positive, organized work environment where planners can thrive.
