As a company, Leigh & Co. Events cultivates a dynamic, client-focused environment where creativity, organization, and teamwork come together to produce flawless wedding days.

The Lead Wedding Coordinator position at Leigh & Co. Events presents a remarkable opportunity for individuals passionate about wedding planning and eager to take on a leadership role in executing weddings. This contract role allows for flexible scheduling, enabling planners to choose their hours and work on projects that fit their availability. Compensation for this role is $400 per project, typically encompassing 10 to 12 hours of work. The position is designed for candidates interested in joining the company for the 2026 wedding season and beyond, providing the chance to grow within a supportive and fast-paced wedding planning company. Comprehensive training is provided to ensure that new coordinators have the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed.

In this role, the Lead Wedding Coordinator will serve as the primary planner onsite, working closely with client experience managers during the planning phase and collaborating with assistant coordinators on the wedding day. Responsibilities include attending a final details call with clients roughly six weeks before the wedding to confirm logistics, timeline, and expectations. On the day prior to the wedding, the lead planner facilitates the ceremony rehearsal, ensuring that all participants understand timing, processional flow, and key cues. During the wedding day, the coordinator acts as the couple's main advocate, maintaining a calm and solutions-focused presence to support them through any challenges.

The Lead Wedding Coordinator oversees ceremony and reception setup, ensuring alignment with the event design and the company’s day-of execution playbook. They manage the entire wedding day from initial vendor arrival through to the final breakdown at the day's end. This role requires greeting, directing, and acting as the primary point of contact for all vendors, communicating setup instructions clearly to ensure coordination with the event plan. Additionally, the coordinator assists with the placement of personal and event details such as escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest books, and decor elements. Supporting the wedding party and family members with guidance, timing cues, and any day-of needs is an essential part of the position.

The Lead Wedding Coordinator also ensures that all end-of-event items—including gifts, guest books, and personal decor—are properly packed and accounted for. Proactive management and resolution of any issues or last-minute changes is crucial to maintaining a smooth and enjoyable guest experience. Overall, this role is ideal for organized, detail-oriented wedding planners who thrive in a dynamic environment and are committed to delivering exceptional service. Those with strong communication skills, a passion for weddings, and the ability to multitask effectively will find this position especially rewarding.
