Leigh & Co. Events is a rapidly expanding wedding planning company that operates across the entire United States, with a strong reputation for providing exceptional wedding design, coordination, and planning services tailored specifically for engaged couples. Known for their commitment to creating memorable and personalized wedding experiences, Leigh & Co. Events combines creativity, professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure each celebration is unique and perfectly executed. This company has cultivated a dynamic team of professionals who share a passion for weddings and client satisfaction, embracing innovation and collaboration to stay at the forefront of the event planning industry.

As a Lead Wedding Coordinator with Leigh & Co. Events located in New Mexico, you will step into a pivotal role in delivering seamless wedding experiences for couples during their most cherished moments. This exciting contract position is designed for proactive individuals eager to grow in the wedding planning industry and offers the flexibility to manage your own schedule. Payment for this role is project-based, with compensation of $350 for approximately 10-12 hours of dedicated work per project. Training is provided to ensure you have the knowledge and tools needed to excel in your role.

The Lead Wedding Coordinator acts as the primary onsite planner, collaborating closely with client experience managers during the planning stages and assistant coordinators during the wedding day to guarantee flawless event execution. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting final details calls with clients roughly six weeks prior to the wedding date to confirm logistics, timeline, and expectations. On the day before the wedding, you will lead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal, ensuring that all participants understand timing, the flow of the processional, and key cues.

On wedding day, you will serve as the couple’s chief advocate, maintaining a calm and solutions-focused presence while managing any issues that arise to offer the highest level of support. You will oversee the setup of the ceremony and reception, ensuring everything aligns with the agreed event design and execution plan. As the main point of contact for vendors, you will greet and direct all vendor arrivals, communicating setup instructions clearly to ensure they are consistent with the event plan.

Furthermore, the Lead Wedding Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and assisting with the placement of personal and event details such as escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest books, and décor elements. Your guidance will extend to supporting the wedding party and family members with timing cues, day-of needs, and general assistance. At the conclusion of the event, you will ensure that all items including gifts, the guest book, and personal décor are packed and accounted for. Proactive management of any last-minute changes or challenges is critical to maintaining a smooth and enjoyable guest experience. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to be at the heart of unforgettable celebrations, bringing joy and ease to couples during their special day.
