Job Description

Hyatt Regency Lake Washington at Seattle's Southport is a distinguished hotel located on the scenic shores of Lake Washington. Known for its exceptional service, the Hyatt Regency has earned accolades such as the AAA Four Diamond and Best of Housekeeping awards, reflecting its commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. Situated with convenient access to Sea-Tac International Airport, downtown Seattle, Bellevue, and iconic destinations like Mount Rainier National Park and Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park, the hotel blends the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest with modern luxury and comfort. Its location offers guests an unmatched experience where the tranquility of lakeside views meets the vibrance of nearby urban centers, making it a preferred destination for both business and leisure travelers.

The role of Wedding and Event Planning Manager at Hyatt Regency Lake Washington is pivotal in delivering memorable and flawlessly executed events. Hyatt emphasizes the value of its attentive and caring associates who strive to provide efficient service and meaningful experiences that leave lasting impressions. The Wedding and Event Planning Manager primarily oversees wedding, gala, and social events, in addition to meetings, holiday parties, and other assigned functions. Serving as the essential liaison, this manager works closely with wedding planners, brides, grooms, their families, and hotel staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination throughout. For non-wedding events, the manager also acts as the intermediary between event planners and hotel teams, ensuring all aspects from sales agreements, food and beverage details, setup, audiovisual requirements, to room blocks and billing instructions are meticulously handled.

This position demands a proactive approach to managing the entire event lifecycle—from initial planning stages to on-site execution—ensuring customer expectations are not only met but consistently exceeded. The Wedding and Event Planning Manager hosts hotel tours, wedding and event tastings, and maintains robust internal and external customer relationships. They actively participate in, and sometimes lead, event and staff meetings while collaborating effectively with sales, event, hotel staff, and administrative teams to drive success. This role is more than logistical coordination—it requires a dedication to hospitality excellence and a passion for creating meaningful, memorable celebrations that resonate with clients and guests.

The offered position comes with a competitive salary range of $80,168.40 to $86,600, with starting salaries tailored based on experience, qualifications, and education. Hyatt provides an inclusive, respectful, and dynamic work culture where high performance is rewarded and career opportunities are broad. As part of the Hyatt family, employees find an environment that fosters growth, encourages creativity, and supports their professional aspirations in the vibrant hospitality industry.
