The corporation emphasizes maintaining high standards of operational efficiency, customer service, and safety within all its establishments. With a focus on fostering teamwork and continuous improvement, Seneca Gaming Corporation is dedicated to creating memorable experiences for guests while supporting the career growth and development of its workforce.
The Restaurant Server position at Seneca Gaming Corporation is a pivotal role that not only requires delivering fast, friendly, and courteous food and beverage service to guests but also encompasses secondary responsibilities as a Restaurant Shift Manager. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant during shifts, ensuring that staff are supported, guest needs are met efficiently, and company policies are strictly followed. The ideal candidate will perform duties that demand physical stamina, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure in a lively casino environment.
As a Restaurant Server, the primary responsibility is to engage with guests promptly while providing attentive and hospitable service. This involves detailed knowledge of the menu offerings, wine lists, daily specials, and an understanding of the company’s goals and standards. The server is expected to maintain an orderly workstation, assist with side work, and ensure that the dining area is clean and welcoming. Alongside these duties, the position requires vigilance in upholding liquor laws and cash handling protocols, reflecting the company’s internal control standards.
Acting in the capacity of a Shift Manager on occasion, the individual will take charge of operational aspects such as supervising staff, handling guest complaints, managing scheduling and payroll processes, and ensuring that the restaurant meets its cost goals. Communication with other management team members and associates is key to maintaining a collaborative environment. The position also involves participating in management meetings and reporting on shift activities through daily management reports.
The role demands a candidate with at least two years of supervisory experience in the food and beverage industry, coupled with strong interpersonal skills to coach and lead a team effectively. Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and restaurant automated systems, is also required to handle administrative tasks. The position offers a starting salary of $10.70 per hour, with compensation negotiable based on experience and education. This job is ideal for individuals who thrive in a hospitality setting, enjoy direct guest interaction, and are looking to build a career in restaurant management within a prestigious gaming corporation.
