The Waterpark Beverage Supervisor role is a critical leadership position within Kalahari Resorts & Conventions. This position supports the Waterpark Beverage Manager by providing supervision and guidance to the Beverage department, managing monthly inventories, weekly orders, and coordinating scheduling to ensure efficient team operation. The supervisor ensures exceptional guest satisfaction through seamless management of cabana services and maintains high standards in guest service, cleanliness, revenue monitoring, and equipment upkeep. A key part of the leadership team, the Waterpark Beverage Supervisor leads with empathy and professionalism, embodying Kalahari’s values to create extraordinary experiences and a welcoming environment where guests receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service continuously.

This role requires a candidate with strong leadership skills, a passion for service, and the ability to work collaboratively to maintain smooth operations. The Waterpark Beverage Supervisor must understand all policies, procedures, and standards governing beverage operations and ensure consistent, high-quality food and beverage delivery. They play a hands-on role in day-to-day activities, stepping in as needed to uphold guest service standards and maintain operational efficiency. Additionally, the supervisor ensures all beverage equipment is clean and properly maintained, conducting inspections and overseeing preventative maintenance. Developing, coaching, and training both new and existing staff is also a critical aspect of the role, promoting professional growth and strengthening the team’s capabilities.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • State and local certification of alcohol awareness and food handling
  • Minimum 3 years experience in beverage or hospitality management
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • State and local laws may require a certificate of alcohol awareness/safety classes and food handling certifications
  • A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others
  • 3 years extensive experience in bar, restaurant, kitchen, hotel, resort management preferred
  • Ability to work various hours and days based on business needs including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs for all beverage outlets within the resort
  • Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the venue's recipes, portioning, and serving standards
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations are met daily
  • Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following preventative maintenance programs
  • Ensure that the bartenders/barbacks/cocktail servers are providing all orders on time and made with quality and consistency, according to specifications
  • Assist Beverage Manager to develop, coach, and train new staff and existing staff in all areas of managerial and professional development
