Job Description
Mickey Truck Bodies is a leading manufacturer specializing in the production of state-of-the-art truck bodies, trailers, and specially engineered vehicles. Established as an innovative company with a global reach, Mickey Truck Bodies distributes its products across more than 50 countries, catering to a diverse range of industries including food and beverage, vending, propane, rental trucks, emergency and rescue services, battery manufacturing, oil and natural gas, as well as data storage. Operating in four states with over 400 employees, Mickey Truck Bodies has built a reputation for quality, durability, and innovation in the manufacturing sector.
The company is currently seeking a dedicated Wash Bay Technician to join their team in High Point, NC. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive hourly wage of $16.50 to $18.50 plus a bi-weekly productivity and performance bonus. The work schedule is from Monday to Thursday, 6:30 am to 5 pm, with overtime on Fridays and some Saturdays. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation critical to Mickey Truck Bodies' production process.
The Wash Bay Technician is responsible for the meticulous cleaning and preparation of truck bodies before they progress to the prepping and painting stages of production. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in delivering a professional finished product. Duties include the use of pressure washers and approved cleaning agents to remove grease, dirt, metal debris, and manufacturing residues. The Technician must inspect completed units to ensure they meet the company’s cleanliness standards, maintain an organized wash bay environment, safely operate all wash bay equipment, handle cleaning chemicals properly, and adhere to all safety protocols including wearing required personal protective equipment.
This role also involves some physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs, working in various positions, and exposure to manufacturing environments that include noise, water, cleaning chemicals, and mechanical parts. Given the fast-paced and deadline-driven nature of the production environment, the ideal candidate should be capable of working both independently and as part of a team, following instructions carefully, and maintaining safety and quality standards diligently.
Mickey Truck Bodies prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer, making merit-based hiring decisions without discrimination. They offer an inclusive work environment that values employee contributions and provides opportunities for growth and development. The company also offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation time, short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, a wellness plan with incentives, flexible spending accounts, and a 401(k) program with company match.
Joining Mickey Truck Bodies as a Wash Bay Technician means becoming part of a forward-thinking company committed to quality, safety, and employee well-being. If you are motivated by working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have a strong attention to detail with a dedication to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, this opportunity is well suited for you.
