Wash Bay Technician

The company is currently seeking a dedicated Wash Bay Technician to join their team in High Point, NC. This is a full-time position, offering a competitive hourly wage of $16.50 to $18.50 plus a bi-weekly productivity and performance bonus. The work schedule is from Monday to Thursday, 6:30 am to 5 pm, with overtime on Fridays and some Saturdays. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation critical to Mickey Truck Bodies' production process.

The Wash Bay Technician is responsible for the meticulous cleaning and preparation of truck bodies before they progress to the prepping and painting stages of production. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, dependable, and takes pride in delivering a professional finished product. Duties include the use of pressure washers and approved cleaning agents to remove grease, dirt, metal debris, and manufacturing residues. The Technician must inspect completed units to ensure they meet the company’s cleanliness standards, maintain an organized wash bay environment, safely operate all wash bay equipment, handle cleaning chemicals properly, and adhere to all safety protocols including wearing required personal protective equipment.

This role also involves some physical demands such as lifting up to 50 lbs, working in various positions, and exposure to manufacturing environments that include noise, water, cleaning chemicals, and mechanical parts. Given the fast-paced and deadline-driven nature of the production environment, the ideal candidate should be capable of working both independently and as part of a team, following instructions carefully, and maintaining safety and quality standards diligently.
