The role offered is pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of our production floor. The position requires an individual who can actively participate in daily tasks alongside team members, providing essential support in managing workflow and operational demands. You will take on responsibilities that include covering for unplanned absences and vacation periods, ensuring consistent productivity without disruption. Moreover, the role demands a strong understanding and adherence to department reports and procedures, along with overseeing break and lunch schedules to optimize team efficiency.

A significant aspect of this role is the maintenance and oversight of equipment performance, including managing preventive maintenance schedules and work orders. Collaboration with managers on associate scheduling is also critical, alongside a hands-on approach to understanding production requirements and executing them effectively. The role mandates strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the enforcement of rigorous quality and food safety standards.

This position also plays a key leadership role, modeling exemplary behavior for associates and spearheading skill training initiatives, including writing Skill Breakdown Sheets (SBSs) and conducting Job Instruction Training (JIT). You will lead efforts to drive improvements in plant operations, utilize insights derived from Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and data analysis, and undertake the duties of Department Manager or Assistant Department Manager during their absence.
