The company specializes in accelerating ecommerce sales growth for vendors across a broad spectrum of product categories, including toys, games, pet supplies, sports and outdoor equipment, home and patio, as well as lawn and garden products. Through its role as a first-party seller, Flat River Group has experienced remarkable growth fueled by multiple US-based distribution centers that enable efficient and effective order fulfillment. The company's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction positions it as a dynamic and influential player within the ecommerce marketplace.
Flat River Group is currently seeking a dedicated Team Lead to join its distribution center team. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with adjusted seasonal flexibility, including a swing shift during peak seasons, ensuring employees can balance work and personal life effectively. The position starts at a competitive pay rate of $18 per hour, commensurate with experience, and is accompanied by an extensive benefits package. The Team Lead will be entrusted with key responsibilities related to executing and overseeing distribution center fulfillment processes, assisting department supervisors, and guiding team members.
As a Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily warehouse operations by accurately managing order picking, packing, and shipping processes to meet or exceed customer expectations. You will ensure packaging and labeling meet company and carrier standards, oversee kitting operations, and help coordinate the receiving and unloading of incoming shipments. Maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment is essential, as is collaborating with other departments and participating in cross-functional projects to optimize processes. The role also requires overseeing warehouse equipment maintenance, adhering strictly to safety and quality protocols, and supporting training efforts within the department.
Successful candidates will exhibit strong leadership and communication skills, enabling them to motivate and direct team members efficiently. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, think critically, and solve problems proactively is crucial. You will be expected to develop proficiency with Flat River Group's warehouse management systems and internal portals. Physical requirements include the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, regularly lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.
Flat River Group fosters a collaborative, supportive work environment, prioritizing employee development and satisfaction. The benefits package includes generous paid time off with up to 120 hours in the first year, paid holidays, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options with FSA/HSA availability after a waiting period, company-paid life and disability insurance, paid maternity leave, and a 401(k) plan with immediate company match and vesting. The company also offers a tuition reimbursement program to encourage ongoing professional growth.
Joining Flat River Group means becoming part of a forward-thinking ecommerce company that values its workforce and works diligently to provide a meaningful employment experience built upon teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement. This opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to grow within a high-volume distribution environment while contributing to the success of a rapidly expanding organization.
