This particular role is for a Supervisor of Supply Chain Operations located in Hanahan, South Carolina. GXO is currently offering multiple shifts for this position, and relocation to Hanahan is required. The employment type is full-time, with competitive salary packages designed to attract top talent. As a Supply Chain Operations Supervisor with GXO, you will be at the helm of daily warehouse operations ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your leadership will be critical in scheduling, managing, and mentoring the warehouse team, with a core responsibility to uphold and enhance work quality while delivering exceptional customer service. You'll be expected to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment consistent with GXO’s high standards, including adherence to the company's 7S program and quality policy.

This role demands proactive communication with leadership, team members, and other departments to foster teamwork and operational excellence. You will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement strategies designed to boost productivity and efficiency. The position not only requires strong leadership and organizational skills but also the ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule that may include planned and unplanned overtime, as well as weekend shifts. Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook along with computerized scanner equipment is necessary to effectively manage operations and maintain comprehensive records.

Successful candidates typically have at least two years of relevant industry experience. Preferably, they hold a bachelor’s degree in logistics or a related field, and experience in ISO or AS9100 environments, warehousing, or third-party logistics (3PL). The ability to support and enforce company safety guidelines and programs is a must.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift various weights, stand or walk for long periods, and perform physical activities such as bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling. Adaptability to warehouse conditions, which may be hot or cold, is necessary. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus and enhance communication and team management.

Job Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and computerized scanner equipment
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including planned and unplanned overtime and weekends
  • U.S. citizen status to meet government and federal law program requirements
  • Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights
  • Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to reach (including above head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
  • Ability to handle or manage tools or equipment
  • Tolerance for hot or cold warehouse environments

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred
  • Experience in AS9100 or ISO environments preferred
  • Experience in warehousing or third-party logistics (3PL) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to support, follow and communicate company safety guidelines and programs

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
