Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree required
  • Three to four years relevant job-related experience education or combination thereof
  • Two to three years supervisory experience preferred
  • Professional certification may be required in some areas
  • Forklift certified
  • Ability to stand or walk for 75 percent of the time
  • Ability to lift or move 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to reach stoop kneel crouch climb and balance frequently
  • Ability to follow safety regulations and company policies

Job Duties

  • Plans layout of warehouse and other storage areas considering turnover size weight and related factors of items stored
  • Advises employees on care and preservation of items received stored and shipped methods and use of equipment in handling storing maintaining and shipping stock and related problems
  • Determines work procedures prepares work schedules and expedites workflow
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness neatness and conformance to policies and procedures
  • Maintains harmony among workers and resolves issues
  • Advises and enforces safety regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
