Job Description
Quality Custom Distribution (QCD) is the largest division of Golden State Foods (GSF), a global foodservice leader established in 1947. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD has rapidly grown since its inception in 2006 to become a leading force in custom distribution across the United States. The company partners with some of the most iconic quick service restaurant brands, delivering quality products and exceptional service with a commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. QCD's success lies in its people-first culture, fostering growth opportunities for employees who demonstrate integrity, consistency, and leadership. Many company leaders began their careers at entry-level warehouse positions and have risen through the ranks, reflecting QCD's dedication to internal development and advancement.
This full-time, on-site Warehouse Supervisor position based in Indianapolis offers an exciting opportunity to lead in a dynamic, fast-paced warehouse environment that supports two major quick service restaurant brands. The supervisor is responsible for guiding day-to-day warehouse operations in a high-volume distribution center, ensuring that shipping, product rotation, safety, sanitation, and timeliness objectives are consistently met or exceeded. The role demands leadership not only of processes but also of people, with a focus on motivating and managing a large, diverse warehouse team operating in a temperature-controlled facility.
As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will plan, implement, and monitor key operational activities, including loading, dispatch, and receiving times, while ensuring regulatory compliance with QIP, HACCP, and DOT standards. The position requires coordinating manpower planning, maintaining vehicle and equipment utilization, and completing accurate, computer-based and manual reports to monitor productivity and product quality. Working in a complex environment that operates 24/7, you will lead with a focus on safety, reliability, and service excellence, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
The supervisory role follows a night shift schedule from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, Wednesday through Saturday, with flexibility to support a continuous operation that runs day and night, including weekends and holidays. Leading in a unionized workforce, the Warehouse Supervisor must be adept at managing diverse teams, motivating associates, and navigating the unique challenges of warehouse management. This position invites candidates with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in warehouse or distribution operations and a proven track record in team supervision to take on a leadership role where their contributions directly impact business outcomes.
QCD offers a competitive annual salary and weekly pay schedule, with health, dental, and vision benefits available after 30 days of employment. Additional perks include a 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays, vacation time, and company-provided uniforms and work shoes. Beyond the tangible benefits, joining QCD means becoming part of a company that values diversity, inclusion, and employee development. The organization prides itself on treating employees with respect, encouraging high standards, and promoting from within. At QCD, your role as Warehouse Supervisor is just the beginning of your journey toward greater leadership opportunities within a supportive and thriving community.
