Job Description

This opportunity comes from a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider operating the largest and most complex warehouse site in their entire network. Located in San Bernardino, this expansive 840,000-square-foot facility serves multiple clients across diverse retail and consumer sectors. Within just eighteen months, this site evolved remarkably from having one-third of its space empty to running at full capacity, turning inventory approximately every ten days and adding shifts to accommodate growth. It embodies a dynamic, high-volume, multi-client environment driven by both rapid expansion and operational excellence.

The warehouse supervises multiple product categories that shift seasonally, including cooling products in the summer, consumer electronics around the holidays, and apparel during winter months. This constant variety eliminates any slow periods, ensuring that supervisors experience continuous, diverse challenges rather than routine or monotony.

As a Warehouse Supervisor here, you become an integral leader of a fast-paced operation that uses three distinct warehouse management systems concurrently. This complexity offers an unparalleled opportunity to broaden your skills beyond what a typical single-client warehouse can provide. You'll manage a full shift and oversee a team of over 20 associates and leads, directly handling key functions such as receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, and inventory control.

Your role is highly hands-on and demands strong leadership to drive both productivity and accuracy metrics. You will be responsible for coaching and developing your team, upholding stringent safety standards, and maintaining excellent communication with client representatives who are actively engaged on-site. This position not only requires operational know-how but also the ability to engage effectively in a customer-facing setting.

The employer offers two shifts for this supervisory role: a day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and a swing shift from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, affording flexibility for candidates who prefer either schedule. This job is well-suited for candidates who thrive in a high-energy environment where the work is dynamic and visible.

Ideal candidates bring at least three years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics settings, having managed 20 or more associates and leads. Familiarity with core distribution center functions, comfort using multiple warehouse management systems (WMS), and experience with RF scanning technology are essential. The role requires a proven track record of success in a fast, metrics-driven environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interact confidently with clients.

Additional assets include a background in third-party logistics or retail distribution, certifications in material handling equipment or train-the-trainer experience, bilingual English-Spanish capabilities, and exposure to budget management and KPI reporting. Candidates currently serving as leads or assistant supervisors who have demonstrated operational control and leadership on the floor are also encouraged to apply, emphasizing practical leadership over formal titles.

This position offers an exciting career advancement for logistics professionals who want to be deeply involved in operational execution at an influential, large-scale, multi-client warehouse. You will contribute significantly to the success of a leading 3PL provider by ensuring efficient, accurate, and safe warehouse operations while gaining invaluable experience managing diverse product lines and technology systems.
