Job Description

Yanfeng is a leading global automotive supplier renowned for its expertise in interior, exterior, seating, cockpit electronics, and passive safety components. With a presence spanning more than 240 locations worldwide and a workforce of approximately 57,000 employees, Yanfeng is at the forefront of innovation within the automotive industry. The company prides itself on its comprehensive technical team comprising 4,200 experts located across 10 state-of-the-art research and development centers and regional offices. These experts cover a wide array of capabilities including engineering, software development, styling, and test validation, enabling Yanfeng to deliver cutting-edge solutions to automakers globally. Their focus on smart cabin technology and lightweight materials solidifies their position as pioneers in driving future mobility innovations by providing leading cabin solutions that prioritize comfort, safety, and sustainability.

The warehouse supervisor role at Yanfeng involves a dynamic leadership position overseeing a team of 15-20 direct reports. This role is crucial in ensuring inventory accuracy and reliability meet or exceed 95 percent across all raw material warehouses, work-in-progress (WIP), and shipment systems. The supervisor manages daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching of materials while enforcing material rotation through the PEPS (FIFO) system. This position demands exceptional organizational skills to manage human resources effectively by distributing tasks efficiently within the plant. In addition, the role involves meticulous recording of all warehouse goods received and distributed, actively participating in continuous improvement projects to optimize warehouse performance, and updating stock levels for material coordinators.

Furthermore, the warehouse supervisor upholds compliance with Yanfeng’s International Operating System (IOS) requirements along with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), product safety, compliance, and information security standards. They ensure all employees adhere strictly to company policies and procedures, while also maintaining a clean, safe working environment through diligent enforcement of safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits to address potential hazards proactively.

This position requires someone adaptable with a strong ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in interactions with customers, suppliers, vendors, and colleagues across all levels of the organization. A successful candidate is expected to sustain predictable and regular attendance and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and operational excellence. A high school diploma or equivalent in general studies or supply chain management is required, alongside 3-5 years of warehouse/material supervision experience, preferably within the automotive industry. Additional qualifications include the ability to travel to customer and industrial sites, valid driver’s license, forklift certification, and strong familiarity with Microsoft and warehouse management systems.

Physical demands include frequent walking, sitting or standing for extended periods, occasional lifting of materials up to 50 pounds, and constant use of hands for computer and communication tasks. Working conditions may involve exposure to noise, temperature variations, and manufacturing settings requiring the use of personal protective equipment. This role also favors candidates with bilingual skills and strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, aimed at fostering a motivated team environment and data-driven operational improvements. Overall, Yanfeng offers an exciting opportunity for a warehouse supervisor to contribute significantly to a global leader transforming the automotive landscape.
