The Warehouse Supervisor position at Floor & Decor is a critical leadership role that involves directing and overseeing warehouse operations within retail stores. Among the core responsibilities, the Warehouse Supervisor handles progressive disciplinary actions, employee training for compliance with standard operating procedures, and oversees the maintenance of a clean, safe warehouse environment according to OSHA regulations. Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company
  • Effective communication skills oral and written
  • Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines
  • Available to work extended hours especially during peak seasons

Job Duties

  • Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning in order to ship and receive products at the store in a productive and cost-efficient manner
  • Direct the day-to-day activities of the warehouse including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control
  • Manage Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and the staging of products
  • Maintain warehouse equipment by providing preventive maintenance and communicating necessary repairs
  • Ensure warehouse safety programs comply with OSHA local and state regulations
  • Train associates and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Handle progressive disciplinary processes including counseling, oral and written warnings
  • Respond to general employee inquiries and resolve problems
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations
  • Prepare and submit necessary activity reports for management
  • Monitor paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control for timely data entry
  • Resolve discrepancies involving shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports
  • Execute the Storage Buy Audit COP
  • Oversee staging of products for counting and inspection
  • Ensure proper product storage to optimize space and comply with safety procedures
  • Supervise rotation of inventories within the warehouse
  • Perform other related duties as directed by management
