The Warehouse Runner position for the ONT Field Food and Beverage Department is a part-time hourly role reporting to the Warehouse Manager. This non-exempt position offers a competitive compensation rate of $26.75 per hour. An essential part of this role involves supporting the Food and Beverage team by ensuring smooth inventory management and logistics operations critical to concession stand success during events. Notably, all Field Food and Beverage employees at ONT are covered by a collective bargaining agreement with Unite Here Local 11, requiring union membership as a condition of employment.

The Warehouse Runner’s responsibilities include receiving and verifying incoming goods, transferring stock efficiently to concession stands, managing storage and inventory rotation to minimize spoilage, and upholding cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with company procedures. The role demands close attention to detail in documenting transfers and maintaining accuracy in inventory records.

Candidates for this position must have practical experience within a food and beverage environment and a minimum of six months of work experience in a service-oriented setting. The role requires a valid food handler’s card, with the company offering to cover training costs and compensate employees for the time spent completing the certification, which must be obtained within 30 days of employment. Additionally, candidates should possess knowledge of food and beverage operations including inventory management and purchasing procedures. Strong computer skills on Windows platforms, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication, are essential.

Physically, the position entails substantial walking, frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), stooping, bending, and standing for long periods. The Warehouse Runner must be able to work flexible hours during evenings, weekends, holidays, and potentially late shifts past midnight. They will operate in varied environments such as warehouses, offices, and concession stands, adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining high operational standards. Background checks are mandatory for prospective employees.
