The role of a Warehouse Associate at Staples' World Class Supply Chain Team is critical to maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring the smooth delivery of products to customers. This position involves working various roles within the warehouse, including material handling equipment operation, porting, replenishment, receiving, returns, and shipping. Associates must be adept at operating equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, and electric pallet jacks to move products safely and efficiently. Job Requirements
- Minimum three months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience
- Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent permissible legally
- Basic English language skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift if hired full-time
- Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed
- Ability to lift, push, or pull merchandise weighing between 70 and 100 pounds by hand
- Must wear safety composite shoes
- Ability to walk and stand 100 percent of the time
- Must be at least 18 years old
Job Qualifications

- Basic English language skills both verbal and written
- Ability to be certified and safely operate material handling equipment
- Willingness to maintain a clean work area
- Capacity to adopt safety procedures and ensure safe work practices
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience preferred
- Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers preferred
Job Duties
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move products within the warehouse
- Maintain general cleaning and basic maintenance duties inside and outside the facility
- Confirm accuracy of product, address discrepancies and damages, and communicate professionally with internal and external contacts
- Unload trucks manually and palletize products
- Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets
- Load trucks manually while maintaining a safe and clean workspace
- Adapt to different warehouse roles as needed and ensure adherence to safety protocols
