The primary work schedule is from 8:00am to 2:00pm, Monday through Thursday, offering both full-time and part-time employment options with a competitive pay rate of $21.80 per hour. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the supply chain by performing a variety of tasks related to handling, moving, and managing inventory within the warehouse environment. The role encompasses working in multiple areas, including bulk/material handling equipment operation, warehouse portering, replenishment, receiving, putaway, returns, and shipping. This diversity of duties provides an enriching work experience and helps develop a broad skill set applicable to various aspects of warehouse and supply chain management.
Your responsibilities may involve operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to safely move products weighing up to 100 pounds. In addition to equipment operation, some tasks require manual handling, general maintenance, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse environment. You will be responsible for verifying product accuracy, managing returns, preparing shipments, and maintaining a professional and collaborative approach with colleagues to address any discrepancies or issues that arise. Safety is the highest priority in this role, with an emphasis on adopting and embracing safety procedures to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and others.
Staples values employees who are willing to take on the physical demands of warehouse work, including standing and walking the entirety of the shift, lifting heavy items, and working at heights up to 60 feet when necessary. Candidates should possess or be willing to obtain certification to operate material handling equipment and demonstrate an inclusive attitude towards colleagues and customers to foster a collaborative and respectful workplace.
