Job Description
U.S. AutoForce, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc., is a well-established leader in the automotive distribution industry, boasting over a century of expertise in supplying tires, undercar parts, and lubricants to independent tire retailers, auto repair shops, and automotive dealerships. As a specialized division of U.S. Venture, Inc., U.S. AutoForce is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to its customers, supporting them in maintaining and repairing vehicles effectively and efficiently. The company’s longevity and reputation highlight its commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction in the automotive sector.
The role of Operations Administrative Assistant and Inventory Control Coordinator at U.S. AutoForce is multifaceted and vital to the smooth operation of the company's day-to-day functions. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including cash handling, managing facility filing systems, assisting with personnel onboarding, supporting operations as directed by management, and inventory control, particularly focusing on the company’s tire stock. The position requires an individual capable of following detailed procedures with minimal supervision, demonstrating independence, sound professional judgment, and strong interpersonal skills.
In addition to administrative duties, the candidate will handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving tires weighing between 30 to 80 pounds and working with a tire racking system that reaches heights of up to 25 feet. This physical aspect demands a high degree of attention to detail regarding numbers and outstanding organizational skills to maintain accurate inventory records. The role operates under a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with rotating Saturdays and the possibility of overtime, which accommodates the dynamic nature of the business needs.
The Operations Administrative Assistant and Inventory Control Coordinator will also be involved in various office-related activities such as screening mail, maintaining cash on delivery (COD) files, generating correspondence and reports via computer systems, assisting new hires with onboarding processes, helping team members with system logins, and verifying driver collection bags. The position might occasionally require coverage of dispatch and will-call duties, including breaks and lunches, further emphasizing the role's versatility.
Additional responsibilities include managing daily deposits, following up on past due accounts, maintaining office and cleaning supplies, supporting company event planning, running errands including bank deposits, assisting with inventory and e-commerce requirements, and ensuring adherence to company policies and business ethics. The role may also involve occasional travel to other site locations for training and observational purposes, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability.
This position is designed for a candidate comfortable in a moderately noisy and sometimes physically demanding environment, potentially exposed to varying weather conditions, tire-related fumes, and automotive lubricants. Safety is paramount, with requirements for protective equipment such as steel or composite toe boots, safety vests, harnesses, and self-retracting lifelines being provided by the company, except for the boots. Compliance with all safety guidelines is mandatory, reflecting the company’s dedication to maintaining a safe workplace.
U.S. AutoForce offers a competitive starting wage of $23.00 per hour with weekly pay, healthcare benefits effective from the first day, a work boot reimbursement program, a 401(k) plan with generous employer contributions and matching, paid vacation, sick time, holidays, on-the-job training, skill development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, and employee discount programs. These benefits underscore the company's commitment to supporting the professional growth and well-being of its employees.
