The Warehouse Manager role at US Foods is a key leadership position responsible for managing warehouse operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum three years of warehouse distribution experience
- At least one year of supervisory experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of OSHA and HACCP regulations
- Ability to analyze operational data
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work in cold warehouse environments
- Willingness to travel up to 10 percent
- Physical capability to perform lifting and manual tasks as described
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum three years of warehouse distribution experience
- At least one year of experience overseeing a workforce
- Broad knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Familiarity with OSHA, HACCP, and inventory control
- Ability to interpret operational and financial data
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Preferred HACCP and PCQI certifications
Job Duties
- Lead with a safety mindset ensuring injury-free operations
- Oversee and develop warehouse associates through coaching and training
- Create a cohesive organization by maintaining open communication and efficient workflow
- Direct and supervise productivity of warehouse associates
- Participate in hiring and performance management of warehouse personnel
- Ensure accurate order preparation and staging for shipping
- Monitor operational reports and take corrective actions
- Designate dock locations and oversee replenishment and will call
- Maintain warehouse safety and equipment condition
- Identify sources of inventory shrink and recommend cost control measures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain sanitation schedules
- Effectively schedule shifts using planning tools
- Perform other duties as assigned
