The Warehouse Manager position in Charlotte, NC, is a vital role overseeing the day-to-day operations of a high-volume distribution center that services two renowned quick-service restaurant brands. This role demands a leader who is not only organized and detail-oriented but also capable of leading and motivating a dynamic team through complex processes while maintaining top-tier service and operational standards. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred
- Seven years of experience in warehousing operations in a multi-temperature environment with receiving, inventory control and shipping
- Three to five years of supervisory experience
- Food service experience a plus
- Knowledge of storage and shipment of food or allied products
- Knowledge of computerized inventory control systems
- Knowledge of warehouse racking systems and processes
- Strong management and supervisory concepts
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of relevant safety policies and regulatory procedures including OSHA, AIB, HACCP and DOT
- Experience operating forklift and pallet jacks
- Familiarity with budgetary concepts
- Proficiency with PC word processing and spreadsheet software
- Experience with AS400 computer system
- Ability to lead a diverse workforce and manage a 24/7 operation
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel by airplane and drive an automobile

Job Qualifications

- Three to five years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of food or allied product storage and shipment
- Expertise in computerized inventory control systems and warehouse racking systems
- Strong management and supervisory skills

- Familiarity with safety policies and regulatory requirements including OSHA, AIB, HACCP and DOT
- Proficiency with forklift and pallet jacks
- Knowledge of budgetary concepts and PC word processing and spreadsheet software
- Experience with AS400 computer system
- Ability to lead a diverse workforce and manage a 24/7 operation
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills

Job Duties
- Plan, implement and monitor day-to-day warehouse operations including analyzing data and manpower needs
- Manage staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and motivation to build an effective team
- Audit operational procedures for shipping and receiving and implement improvements for inventory availability, storage, sanitation and security
- Develop and control department budgets, manage purchase or leasing and maintenance of handling equipment
- Ensure compliance with customer, governmental and company policies and prepare reports and quality analyses
- Communicate with division management and provide reports to support decision-making and conduct project analyses
- Perform other related duties as assigned
