The Warehouse Janitorial Cleaner role at ABM is a vital position focused on maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within assigned buildings and facilities. This role involves performing various janitorial duties such as cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning interior glass and partitions, and handling trash and recyclables disposal. The position requires the operation of specialized cleaning equipment and careful handling of cleaning chemicals to ensure a sanitary and safe environment for clients and visitors. It supports the overall mission of ABM to improve spaces and places that matter most by providing top-tier cleaning services tailored to the specific needs of each facility.

This role is ideal for individuals entering or returning to the workforce, even those with limited experience or education, as a high school diploma or GED is not required. Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age or older

Job Duties

  • clean and maintain assigned buildings and facilities to ensure a sanitary and safe environment
  • clean and sanitize restrooms
  • service and restock restrooms with necessary supplies
  • clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • follow assigned work schedules and route cards as directed
  • move cabinets, furniture, boxes, crates, and equipment to clean areas manually or with hand trucks
  • clean interior glass, windows, mirrors, and partitions using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools
  • gather and dispose of trash and recyclables
  • wipe down furniture, appliances, and equipment
  • follow proper procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to avoid damage to surfaces and fixtures
  • notify management of the need for repairs or additions to building systems
  • establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, and supervisors
  • adhere to all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards
  • complete any other duties as assigned
