This role is for a Warehouse Janitorial Cleaner who plays a critical part in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within ABM-managed buildings and facilities. As a vital member of the janitorial team, the individual will be responsible for performing a broad range of cleaning duties, including using specialized equipment and handling cleaning chemicals safely and effectively. This position is well-suited for individuals entering or returning to the workforce, especially those with limited experience or formal education, as ABM provides extensive training and support. The role is designed to maintain sanitary, safe, and welcoming environments by cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, floors, interior glass, windows, mirrors, furniture, and equipment. Additionally, the Warehouse Janitorial Cleaner will be expected to manage waste disposal responsibly and ensure all cleaning activities comply with safety, security, and quality standards set by ABM, clients, and regulatory authorities.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • A high school diploma, GED, or college degree is not required

Job Qualifications

  • One year of similar work experience preferred
  • One year of customer service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain assigned buildings and facilities to ensure a sanitary and safe environment
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms including servicing and restocking supplies
  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Follow assigned work schedules and route cards, reporting any barriers
  • Move furniture, boxes, crates, and equipment manually or with hand trucks
  • Clean interior glass, windows, mirrors, and partitions using appropriate tools and solutions
  • Gather and dispose of trash and recyclables
  • Wipe down furniture, appliances, and equipment
  • Follow proper procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment
  • Notify management of repair needs
  • Establish effective communication with clients, co-workers, and supervisors
  • Adhere to all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards
  • Complete any other duties as assigned
